  1. Her tone of the voice is so remarkable and easily recognizable, as well as phrasing is just immaculate in any piece she sang. Her Bolero is one of my most favorite – her voice sounds so rich and velvety like a cello. Incredible.

  2. Gingerly picking her way to the wobbly high notes — difficult aria is not the showcase for her combination of dramatic skills and raw silk voice.

  3. The reason we still listen and debate about her voice is because it was so distinct, so different and so remarkable. Banality and all being the same is the dullness of life. Genius stands out, brilliance stands out. It is why Messi is the greatest footballer I have ever seen, it is why Callas is the greatest soprano there has ever been, not the most perfect, just the most brilliant. Sheer Callas Sheer brilliance. Argue all we can, there is only one Callas.

  4. This is great……the High E is VERY impressive…..but..Sutherland's is also great and a little faster and glittering!
